Star Hi Herbs maintains an active research programme focused on developing, characterising and scientifically evaluating branded nutraceutical ingredients. Bacospore® research has examined gastroprotective, antidiarrheal, anti-collagenase, cholesterol-lowering, antioxidant and metabolic activities. The wider portfolio covers weight management, joint health, eye health, immune support, liver health, inflammation, glucose metabolism and plant-based vitamins.
The patent dossier records 41 filings across proprietary botanical, probiotic and plant-based nutrient platforms, including filings in India, the United States, Europe, Japan and Korea, together with PCT applications. Granted patents include Indian patents for TurmiMax® and Forcslim™, a granted US patent associated with Bacosane®, and granted patents within the Storg® platform.

Star Hi Herbs operates under documented quality and food-safety systems, including ISO 9001:2015, WHO-GMP and FSSC 22000 credentials at the Hassan operation. The Bacospore® 300B specification covers identity, viable spore count, moisture, heavy metals and microbiological controls, and confirms GMO-free, BSE/TSE-free, non-irradiated and non-ETO status.
