Bacospore® strain featured in new metabolic-health research

A peer-reviewed study in the International Journal of Basic and Applied Sciences evaluated B. coagulans MTCC 25308 with three other probiotic Bacillus strains. MTCC 25308 demonstrated the strongest DPPH activity of the four (IC₅₀ 54.19 µg/mL), high cellular viability, and moderate anti-adipogenic activity in 3T3-L1 cells.

Multifunctional gastrointestinal and metabolic activity reported

A research study on Bacospore® MTCC 25308 reported approximately 80.4% inhibition of ethanol-induced ulcer formation, 26.6% diarrhoea inhibition at 200 mg/kg, 85.40% collagenase inhibition at 200 µg/mL and 97.72% cholesterol reduction at 1,000 µg/mL across animal and in-vitro models.

Star Hi Herbs issued the Bacospore® 300B specification: a standardized B. coagulans probiotic powder with ≥300 billion viable spores/g, water-soluble, GMO-free, BSE/TSE-free, non-irradiated and not treated with ethylene oxide.
